Is it common for TBMs to not send thank you notes for wedding gifts?

One can hope so. That is one tradition I would love to see end.

That was you as a Mormon Porter. So when do you do nice gestures now?
Missionaries troll the neighborhoods looking for folks doing yard work, then offer to help so that they can ask them stupid questions in a ploy to lure the unwitting non members into their cult. The Nehor wrote:Polygamy Porter wrote:Typically, Mormons will only do a nice gesture if they see a potential missionary moment.

What do you mean? It IS the norm that thank you notes are not sent?
If that is the norm how did that happen? I can NOT imagine not sending a thank you note.

Most LDS do send thank-you notes. I am personally opposed to it. To me it is an excuse for people to get offended if they don't get one and do we really need another excuse for someone to get offended about a wedding?
