It is so fun when a non Christian uses Christianity against a Christian.
But as we see, PPs disaffection has impacted his IQ in a negative way and thus he fails to see that this really has nothing to do with Christianity at all. Mitt cannot win with PP. If he is religious he is panned. If he does not walk up to PPs ludicrous standards for religion he is damned. We know that PP hates Mitt just because Mitt is Mormon. That is all it is. Pure bigotry. Period.

Actually, I think Mitt as the prez would be the greatest thing to happen to the truth rolling forth from the mountain of lies...

Let's remember that Mitt is not Christian, he is LDS. And Craig is a self-described Methodist, which is a whole 'nother argument.

I agree with you Porter. I think that the church leadership cringes at some of what Mitt says right now. If he becomes the candidate, the Democrats will attack everything about him, religion and all. If he somehow weathers that and becomes Pres. it will be 4 years min. of total exposure of the church, the good and the bad. Especially the bad.

Most Mormons of the chapel variety are completely oblivious to how the public really views Mormonism.
They are told, and therefore think that it is the wonderful gospel of Christ and many will stand in Sunday meetings and blather on and on about how they just do not understand why their non Mormon family-member/co-worker/neighbor/friend do not want the truth that they have. It truly is a a sickening spectacle to see in person as he others in attendance nod and say" yep yep me either...they are just hard hearted..."
Romney's run is a missionary moment for them. They truly believe that god has place Romney in the situation he is in for the sole purpose of missionary work.
Couple that with the propagation of the "hanging by a thread" so-called prophecy of old Joe, where he prophecied that one day the US Constitution would "Hang by a thread" and GOD would call in the Elders of his chosen church to save the US from complete failure at its core. This is a sure sign that the second coming is about to be ushered in.
The Mormons you engage with on this and other mopologetic boards are internet Mormons and have a completely different mindset than the chapel Mormons.
95% of active and semi active members are chapel Mormons.

No.
It suits critics of the Church to describe a mass of mindless sheep. Because they are confronted by people who don't seem mindless they create an imaginary subset who are on the Internet while the rest are horribly ignorant sheep who know nothing of Church History and the Doctrines of the Kingdom.
I don't know of any Church Leader who is afraid of Mitt winning the Presidency. We've endured physical and intellectual attack before. Some may fall away, others may join, I'm not worried.
I'm pretty fascinated by the whole Larry Craig event.

Here are a couple or three contradictions for me.
1) The airport police are doing stings for disorderly conduct in the bathroom? --Shouldn't they be pursuing terrorists, and if they have more officers than needed for that task, can we have some of our money back to pay for healthcare?
2) How could a US Senator have such a lapse of judgment? If he takes these kinds of risks in his personal life then maybe there's somebody better to run for a 4th term. At least we'd have to call his indiscretion fatally impractical from a political standpoint.
3) Besides his sexual hangups (alleged), is there any other reason to say he's doing a bad job as a Senator from Idaho? Or is it just bigotry and #2 above?
As far as Mitt Romney goes in this, I'm not impressed that he was so quick and simplistic in judging Larry Craig. I don't think it says anything about Mormonism. Mitt Romney is just a big political dink.
