How is Pres. Hinckley doing?

It seemed like there for a while people were talking about "this being his last General Conference" in 2006 because he was having surgery to remove cancerous spots and so forth. Lately I haven't heard anything new about him being near death or cancer or anything.

Anyone heard any type of update on how Hinckley is doing?

He is presiding at my stake conference tomorrow, albeit via satellite.

He's still living in his multi-million dollar flat in downtown Salt Lake. Still being chauffeured around in his Lexus. Still towing the party line of "I don't know that we teach that", and "Those are little flecks of history".

He is still doing what he has always done. Absolutely nothing.

They need to bring back the United Order. They could sell his flat and get twenty houses for need families.

At least twenty. I have often decried the expense of maintaining that property, at the expense of much more needy and deserving families.

No, just anti-stupid spending and wasting of the members' hard-earned tithes and offerings. I absolutely detest fiscal mismanagement, and that's all I've seen out of SLCentral for years.

He likely thought: I need a better view. We should rebuild downtown SLC.
