Many of those fleeced of their money deserved it. Greedy and stupid is the recipe the con artists rely on whether it is religion or money.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticize them you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

How strange it is that the ones who were actually blessed were those who were too poor to be easy marks for the con... so in these cases, it's the ones who weren't blessed with money who reaped the real blessing. Either that, or they were just too tight with their money to let it go so easily.
