Hello,

If people are going to spend time in church services they might as well attend the type of service that they enjoy. If people like to listen to talks then I hope there happy in the LDS. If they want to jump up and down then let them become Pentecostal. I they want to watch a priest walk around the altar let them be Catholics. As long as that's what they really want and the're not remaining in an organization out of fear then I'm OK with whatever church (or no church) that they join.

Although I have nothing but anecdotes, it seems to me that most exMormons become agnostic/skeptics or born-again Christians when they leave. Rarely do I hear of someone becoming a Methodist, Episcopalian or Roman Catholic, although I'm sure it happens.

It's a huge downgrade because the LDS Church has an absolute and unique lock on Bible doctrine. To be a non LDS Christian is to reject significant parts of the Bible. Atheism is the only intellectually honest way out of the LDS Church.

I'm a Methodist. If I remember correctly, madeleine is a Roman Catholic.

You could have stopped there.

Nope. It would not have been intellectually honest to do so.

I see.

"Intellectually honest," like "yellow journalism" would seem to be another term you don't understand (not that that's very surprising) or at least, like to use properly.

Please bcspace be more specific on what non "LDS christians" reject from the Bible. I have to wonder if you are the intellectual paper doll that was discussed in my intro post! And prove this absolute lock on Bible doctine!
