Teaching little children, who can't even read yet, to aver their knowledge of the truthfulness of scripture should be criminal.

Then teaching children anything that is good and true should be criminal.
Just because YOU don't think something is true, doesn't mean it isn't.
Good LDS still have their children know other things, etc.
There is no "sin" in raising children in righteousness. Sad that you think there is.
