Been out 5 years. Just wish I had figured it out in my 20's. You should get out now and truly enjoy your 20's.

No crap. Metal Slasher is missing out on his youth and being awesome. Instead he sticks with a soulless and empty cult. What a shame.

I'm 45 and I've been out since I was 30. Lots of ups and downs, but far, far better than staying in a useless and boring organization that wants my money, time, and mind. Noooooo thank you.

So, you were a Mormon in your pre-existence?

I'm 37, DH is 41. I stopped going to church by 2005, but I had been an active non-believer for several years before that just to keep the peace in my marriage. My husband was a tortured TBM in a mixed-faith marriage for those years until the Church made the mistake of directing our ward members (more or less) to support Tennessee's DOMA legislation in 2006. He felt like legislating religious principles was uninspired and un-American. That episode just brought the whole shelf down.
