Vanuatu Education Programme. Hidden agenda?

I found that a bit jarring. The Gospel is only for the literate? Really?

It's all a bit insidious.
The missionaries also provide a religious lesson and English skill development.

It's not a 'religious' lesson -it's the missionary lessons.
I get the benefit and humanity of helping education programs, but does everything have to be about converting youth to Mormonism? Couldn't it just stop at supporting the education of those kids?

The Missionary Programme is turning into something Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's 'Child Catcher' would approve of.
