Wasn't someone already killed in one of the earlier installments? Some shadowy group kidnapped and killed someone, but I can't remember. I always thought this latest chapter was sort of like a prequel to how this danite group got started. I might have to go back and re-read it all now since I can't remember exactly those first chapters.
