Head Shot to Atheism: Why Only Smart People Hate God

I know a lot of smart people who don't believe in god, but no one I know hates him. Trump maybe, but not god.

How is not believing in God NOT hating him. Get real.

Those who crave themselves being the smartest are at the same time aware enough that, IF God made all things, their desire to be the smartest guy on the block is not just denied, it is crushed to powder and totally blown away. This explains how they revel in blasphemy and rather than simply be content in the assurance that they are as smart as anyone ever could be, they harp against God endlessly.

Sounds like a mental disorder.

They harp that there is NO evidence, when all things prove God. I mean, DUH! If there is a God then all things DO prove him. Since all things do exist then the fact that there is a God is a given.

Stop the madness.

Is the basic premise here that every smart person despises anyone or anything that s/he perceives might be smarter, therefore smart people hate God?

Not every smart person hates God. By and large everyone who hates God tends to be someone who values greatly how smart they want to come off. Their hearts are set on this vanity and hence the hate the one who, by comparison makes them look like dirt sucking worms.

Nightlion, I think you could be more productive here if you could acknowledge that people of all stripes, including atheists, can be lovers of truth and seekers of truth, and can have integrity.

Well, for instance, we have millions of high brow Mormons who think that they do God service but are hypocrite to the core. They value education above all. Those who love God would obey his commandments. Mormons hate the commandments and prefer that their unquestionable leaders have led them in righteousness, when in fact they have sealed them up to condemnation at ever turn. Hypocrisy is atheism's more fearful cousin.

And no lover of truth hates God. Nor can such an one have integrity. There is overwhelming evidence and a blind consensus of God envy is not honest.

So the logical inversion of "Only smart people hate God" would be "Only dumb people love God"

True believers do the will of the Father and obey the commandments of Jesus Christ. How many people do you know who even mention or ever have encouraged another to do what is written plainly in Acts Chapter One?

We are all eternal intelligence that was added upon. Those who do the will of God get added upon again, those who do not will lose some of what was given them and be damned.

I do not consider hypocrites believers.

You're making too many assumptions here. Can you just pick your favorite one to argue about?

It is the same. People want to think better of themselves than what is true. For some it means that they have to trample upon the commandments of Christ, and for others it requires a complete denial of God existence. Not much different if you think about it from a perspective that does the commandment and proven God true to the promises of his commandments.
