Porter denies it. Don't you want to withhold judgment until the truth really comes out. I mean, look at all the unfounded accusations against Bill Clinton. Oops, he was disbarred. Never mind.

In a recent interview, Kelly emphatically stated his support and respect for Trump, citing several examples of their daily interactions. He believes this is the most important position he's ever held. He also stated complete support for Rob Porter in an interview yesterday.

Rob Porter resigned because he's guilty of the accusations against him. Why resign otherwise? It was HIS choice alone. He is respected and valued enough to continue in his position. Maybe the breaking news would cause him to be excommunicated and he didn't want that to reflect upon the Administration.

All the MEN he has worked with think he’s a stand-up fellow. Porter has never hit nor choked any of them. The Whitehouse thinks Porter should stay. What happens behind closed doors, stays behind closed doors?

In Washington, Porter is probably considered a real man’s man. Anyone surprised that the mental giant in the Whitehouse likes to surround himself with other ”real” men?

Here is an interesting article from the Washington Post:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/look-at-the-picture/2018/02/07/edceaae4-0c59-11e8-8890-372e2047c935_story.html?hpid=hp_no-name_opinion-card-b%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.228963f9fd8d

The author asks how Porter can explain the photo he denies. It seems there isn't a good explanation other than Porter did it. If he didn't, why no police report against the real culprit?

In any event, ex-mo reddit poses a good question submitted by allbymyzelph - if the lds church is so against this, will it seek to discipline Brother Porter, former stand-up guy?

Maybe she fell into a doorknob.

The evidence for him as a domestic abuser is the the consistent reports of abusive behavior from multiple sources. The photographic evidence of claimed abuse just caps it off. And yeah, in order for that to not be evidence of abuse, it has to be a unrelated injury that she simply lied about. That's not exactly plausible given all the other statements.

In a court of law, he is innocent until proven guilty, but we are not in a court and none of us is sentencing him to prison. We are allowed to make judgments about what is likely with the evidence before us, and the evidence before us is enough to tell a compelling story.

All of us should be open to correction if exculpatory evidence shows up, but this is not a "I don't know what to think" situation.

Yes, of course, my post is an expression of opinion, and in my opinion, Porter looks like he has serious issues with domestic violence that need to be resolved.

Looks like this story may be generating some momentum. Sounds like a potential storm with the Sam Young petition and the LDS attempt to change recording laws in the Utah state legislature.

Here is the headline:

Mormon bishops told ex-wives of former Hatch, White House staffer to consider his ‘career ambitions’ when they reported his physical abuse, they say

This is one of those stories best reported by Dr. Scratch since more people would consider reading it, but it does seem significant enough for someone to take a look.

I saw this and I agree with it that the church, if they follow their own rules, are required to discipline Brother Porter.
