But the problem with The Book of Abraham should be a major issue for *everyone* in terms of hard evidence (and also reason and rationality).

Great post Grudunza! The Book of Abraham was an early weight on my shelf too. I was in church in my teens one sunday, bored in sacrament meeting again, and was leafing through my triple combo, looking at the facsimiles and the questionable explanations Joseph Smith gave for the pictures. The one that made me think was interpretation no. 11 to facsimile no. 2:

What did that mean exactly? What importance would one number over another have in terms of God? Is 3 better than 2? Is it a representation of infinity and why would knowing this be significant? Also, there is a giant penis in SLC that stands erect and will continue to do so in service of the brethren:
