I think I grasp the idea here, but the problem is overwhelming. Belief is truly, without question entirely irrelevant to what actually just is. Belief, no matter how fervent, cannot replace what just is, i.e. reality. Reality does not care about what anyone's belief is. It will continue to be just what it is.
We sometimes need more than reality. Sometimes we need a beneficial mythology to help bolster our spirits and encourage us to be better people. You've undoubtedly been to Renaissance Faires. Wasn't that fun to watch people dress up in costumes and dance and play medieval music? Maybe you donned some armor and joined the tournament. Have you ever felt an urge to paint yourself blue and welcome in the dawn on midsummers day? Whether or not you've felt that last urge, I think you get what I am trying to say.
