One of the reasons Captain Hook and I started this blog is because Jonathan Neville is not just wrong about Book of Mormon geography, he’s spectacularly wrong about virtually everything he blogs about. Every one of his blog posts contains errors of fact, misrepresentations of others’ claims, and/or distortions of historical evidence. It’s a stunning simultaneous display of arrogance and ignorance.

He was clearly addressing a group of people that’d be paying attention to their endeavor. Interestingly Smoot and CPT Hook share a penchant for using similar keywords in their postings like, “wantonly”, “bogus”, “fallaciously”, “hoax”, “pseudo-science”, “paranoid”, “languish”, “loath”, “madness”, and other fairly distinct words that shrink the distance between Smoot’s writing and “Captain Hook’s” writing.

I had kicked around the idea Boylan was/is Captain Hook. I haven’t done a key word comparison on his online postings, yet. I go back to Smoot because of his similar obsession and hostility toward Neville, but you never know. Maybe Boylan will pop hot on his descriptors.

But yes, the first post referring to Neville was the 9th, and Boylan's remarkably perceptive description was just three days later.

And i agree, the timing is difficult to overlook.
