Kishkumen on Backyard Professor LIVE! UFO's and Mormonism/Religion Sunday Oct 27th

Post by Philo Sofee »

I'll get the link after I make the thumbnail. Kish and I are going to discuss the religious implications of this outrageously popular and weird life changing event occurring right before our eyes.......

"life changing event happening right before our eyes"

So what in the sputter sputter are you talking about?

The antichrist (or is it just an imitator?) running for president supported by lots of Christians?

No, the UAP's and their effects on our species of humanity. The potential is for both good or evil. They are here.

I'm watching this now, it will probably be a few days before I can complete the entire 1.5 hours. I'm also a fan of the topic, like Kish I was blown away by Close Encounters of the Third Kind as a kid. Unlike Kish, I've not been lucky enough to see one. I'm also interested in the phenomena as an armchair social theorist. I'll admit I fall on the skeptic side, and I see the UFO phenomena as the best example of a contemporary religion.

There is an interesting reversal to me in regard to the disclosure project, a movement largely driven by libertarian-minded people who believe government is evil, and that is that the government effectively becomes God and those who demand disclosure supplicators awaiting the Lord (government) to reveal the Truth to them. And unlike a more traditional religion, when that doesn't happen, the result isn't apostasy, but attributing greater and greater knowledge and power to the government. It's like a barb that the deeper it penetrates, it hooks, and can't back out.

My question is -- how is it that the government could possibly disclose the existence of aliens? Any records or artifacts themselves could be part of a false flag (that the same folks also likely believe in as well).

Great thoughts, Gad. I don’t expect disclosure to settle anything. I also agree with your view that this is a new religion in the making. Someday I expect there will be large denominations of extraterrestrial religion.

Thank you Gad. I always respect your ideas and penetrating insights and views and was hoping you would hop on a little bit with this. I too am still having skepticism play through my bones, but the caliber of folks coming out on this is stunning, and from all stations, government, military, and we regular publics. Much more to come.

There's some interest stuff for sure, and I think it was you, Philo, who directed me to David Fravor, and I commend the work you're doing here. I say keep at it. I need to tune in to your show more often to keep up on the state of the topic. You've definitely got your finger on the pulse of what's going on out there. I'm definitely there if the proof comes. And if I see a orb or a triangle, I'll have no problem promoting it. I want the skeptics to be wrong and for UFOs to be real. I'm as much as a religious dupe on the topic as anyone. At the same time, I won't really believe it unless I'm really convinced.

Aliens could come and announce themselves and circumvent the government altogether. If these things are crashing all the time, then with a world armed with i-phones, somebody should get some great closeup footage at some point. The government isn't omniscient. No reason to believe they'd be there first every time and can shut it down before uploading to cloud. However, if close encounters are extremely rare, it would be easy to say the government is hiding everything and that's why we don't know more.

I watched the middle part of the show, and I liked the part about humans imagining they'd be converting the aliens a million years ahead of us. I think people generally imagine the aliens being pantheists of some kind, which is interesting, because it opens a possible theological shift for Mormonism should it want to reform into the first bona fide alien religion.

Can you imagine if the aliens are the equivalent of pro-Trump Christians? How scary would that be if they come down and inform us that they are created in God's image and have a sacred book that proves their God is the only God, and all other beliefs are an abominations; they are here to make the galaxy great again and earth is but a floating trash heap and they're beside themselves on what to do with it. They have banners all over the inside of their ships and merch based on their leader.
