Whether you believe in the Limited Geography Theory, One Cumorah Theory, Two Cumorah Theory, The Heartland Theory or the Mesoamerican Theory or anything in-between, there is a tour for you.

Below are just a few of the different LDS tours available, many of them promoting completely contradictory locations for the Book of Mormon. The amazing thing is I bet plenty of Mormons have had "spiritual experiences" on such excursions - testifying to them they are indeed walking where ancient righteous Nephites also walked:

I wonder what qualifies someone to lead a Book of Mormon tour. I recall that M. Russell Ballard went on a tour with his then-friend Tim Ballard several years ago, but I’m not sure that was a proper Book of Mormon tour.

I also recall a special 16-day FARMS Book of Mormon tour of Guatemala and southern Mexico in 1985. Reportedly, it was the first tour to take John Sorenson’s An Ancient American Setting for the Book of Mormon along as a handbook. Sadly, I don’t believe any of today’s Book of Mormon tours are as advanced.

Remember...... the IMPORTANT thing is not worrying about the contradictory details, but the gaining and strengthening of a testimony. ANYTHING that can do that is by fiat, true. It is so impressive that so many have discovered ways to keep them fish in the boat and not jump back into the ocean of freedom. Who cares if Zarahemla is down south or thousands of miles up north, or 500 miles too far east of the variegated locations thus far given by the Holy Ghost. THE point is the Holy Ghost is testifyin' and people are feelin' it! Oh all praise to the mighty testimony born of hucksters for a pile of money.
