You guys are still at it! (why am I not surprised?)

Hello to the same old players. It's been a few months since I've checked to see what is happening around here.
Not much new to shout about, huh?
Same stuff. Criticize the leaders. Money issues. Book of Mormon historicity. Purported organizational missteps. Accusations of dishonesty and evil doing. Dissing Christianity as a whole. Oh yeah, Dr. Peterson too.
Etc.
If you folks were to be paid for your work here it would be a fairly healthy second income.
And you wouldn't have to pay tithing!
Step outside and breathe. Hug a child. Serve a neighbor. Take a drive. Read a good book. Have a real life conversation. Get off the dang keyboard!
I was going to hop in and add my two cents on a thread or two, but then I thought...why?

I'd like to see something new or interesting to comment on but, alas, that doesn't seem to be a possibility. Why join in on a thread if it's just a rehash of a rehash?
If I see something that sparks my interest...maybe.
So that I don't totally waste your time, here are a couple of conversations I've listened to recently that are thought provoking/interesting:

For those of you who are Jonathan Rauch fans.
Ya' all keep the lights on, hear?
Stay well.
Regards,
MG

I've been asking for years and years:
What's the king's name?
I will never stop asking.

What is the king's name, MG?
Please tell.

Thanks for posting that MG. It made me run across an article by Anand Giridharadas, America is living through a hostile takeover by billionaires and bullies, and it made me realize that he is completely right. I think it is a takeover the citizens have completely lost and it will ultimately lead to the destruction of America.
I think I would prefer the Jell-O Belt conversion to the 2nd Kingdom of Deseret than life in a Christian Nationalist fascist dystopia. Less violence and animosity, plus a toned down version of The Handmaids Tale. How about you?

But we have moksha and can transcend out of the classical mess. It's bliss to let go!

I have to admit I always get a chuckle when I see Mormons make this argument.
There’s no better way to live through the movie “
Groundhog Day” than to attend a typical Sunday sacrament meeting. You want to complain about nothing new under the sun, it’s right there under yer nose, mate!
I couldn’t take more than a few years of it. I don’t know how Mormons who stay in the church can endure 70 years of the same thing over and over and over. And at the low low price of 10% of their paychecks… absolute insanity.

Just like every time you watch General Conference, right?
If you folks were to be paid for your work here it would be a fairly healthy second income.

That's what the wives of the bishopric told them, right?

Just like you chose NOT to do when you logged in and posted here?
Get off the dang keyboard!
Did you, or did you not, type that on a keyboard?

Says the guy who, after a months-long break, still has a higher per day post count than Gadianton*.
*For context:
Gadianton wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 3:45 pm
MG is only leaving to save face after he told me I didn't have a life, and I pointed out he only had 2 posts fewer than I did and has been here half as long under his current revision (which honestly, hasn't added many features to the 1.0 release). I have a feeling he'll be back eventually, with his eye closely watching my post counter and will post again when he has some headroom. This could be positive, as it might encourage him to think a little bit more about what he writes. We honestly don't know what MG is capable of if he were to put effort into at least some level of consistency. If he goes out and does more Mormon things and takes his Mormon life to the next level, then good for him. If, however, leaving the board means he consumes another 2 hours of OANN every day, then I'm just pointing out it won't be an improvement in life quality.
Mentalgymnast's cycle continues.

Hey, MG. You seem to have overlooked the people here who do not fit your stereotype. They are still "at it" too, if by "at it" you mean hanging around with friends online and enjoying each other's company.

MG,
I interpreted your intentions as a jab at the board or, worse, a drive by shooting to satisfy your personal needs to commit an offence. You couldn't resist the temptation by which you are tempted.
Anyway, what's the king's name? That would be something new for you discuss here. Or tell us about your feelings of the chiseled face on the lead plate.
Tell us what you think of this:

Kerry debunks Kerry thanks to Paul.
Dear lurkers, please clicks the links. Learn how the Book of Abraham has been thoroughly debunked and utterly destroyed. There isn't a damn thing MG can do about it except to lie and make more crap up.
