Elder Robert C. Gay Uses The Priesthood To Resurrect A Gnat He Had Just Murdered

This talk from Elder Gay about murdering and then subsequently resurrecting a gnat is just pure comedy gold. I guess the gnat lacked the faith not to be healed? I've swatted many flies in my life that were just stunned and a few minutes later they revived and buzzed away. Little did I know that just like Elder Gay, I was also witnessing a priesthood miracle.
Maybe I'm just straining at gnats, but I can't understand why the people who review talks didn't take him aside and say, " Elder Gay this talk sucks, and more important, it's completely bonkers." Is this what the Church has become? More important, I wonder how Elder Gay felt about all the insect splatters on his windshield after driving back from Church?
Elder Gay wrote:It was a warm day, and as I was reviewing my papers, a gnat started buzzing in front of my face. The persistence of the gnat began to really annoy me. Finally, I had enough. I raised my hands and slapped them together and killed the gnat. I cannot explain to this day what happened next: I looked down at the dead gnat in the palm of my hand and felt great compassion. I said to myself, “That gnat did not need to die. It is only dead because of my frustration and impatience.” I then knelt and prayed to God to forgive me and let that gnat live again. As I finished that prayer, the gnat flew from my hand.
I have asked myself for years, why did God do this for me? Many answers have come, but none more important than this: He wanted me to understand at my very core that He has all power to lift me or anyone else, even the least. He wanted me to know He has complete compassion for our weaknesses and that He numbers the very hairs on our heads. Now, if He would restore a gnat, He will never forsake you—no matter where you stand.

It could be that Elder Gay is telling us that God is keeping his miracles exceedingly small nowadays, but to seek after a temple spire of 1000 ft. in a sleepy residential area seen from the freeway.

Church members - male - who are currently not prepared to use their priesthood to ressurect all of the bugs they have killed should repent and follow the example of this leader.
Better still, stop using pest killers like insecticides, rat poison, etc., because it's unlikely that you will have the time and skills to track down and ressurect all the critters whose deaths you are responsible for.
I wonder if Elder Gay made any converts to his way of thinking.

Classic. Personally, my all-time favorite of these GA stories is the one where the guy is seated on a flight next to Mick Jagger. I cannot remember which GA it was….
What’s interesting is that the Mopologists all act as if they are completely oblivious to these embarrassing talks. Do Jack Welch or DCP think that a gnat could be raised from the dead like this? Do gnats have NDEs? The bottom line, I suppose, is that these guys all belong to the same church, and the ones telling these whackadoodle stories are in leadership positions.
