Mudslide slams into Provo LDS church

Post by I Have Questions »

In another example of God’s displeasure with the SLC LDS Church…
Crews continued cleanup efforts at the Latter-day Saints church on South Slate Canyon Drive in Provo, where most of the damage occurred. The church was covered in up to four feet of mud after the debris slid down the Buckley Draw Fire's burn scar on Wednesday.

A microburst of heavy rain saturated the burn scar, causing debris to rush down the hillside and into the roadway and the side of the church.

Why didn’t the Holy Ghost step up with some inspiration when the Church’s property department were in the planning stage? “Hey guys, don’t build in the likely path of a mud slide”.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

They could have chosen to fight poverty very aggressively. Instead they chose billions in investments while providing meager assistance to the poor. It may be that the God who said, “Sell all you have and give it to the poor,” was not impressed and decided to send a message.

Perhaps someone masturbated in the chapel and de-sanctified the whole building.

Hopefully, everyone in this Ward learned a valuable lesson about not going around "de-sanctifying" buildings like they were Joseph Smith with a squirt gun.

C’mon, Kishkumen. That’s beneath you.

The Shackletons are devastated as it is their week to clean that chapel. For free.
