Many women (and I dare say men with female avatars) try the "escort" business as a way to make Linden dollars. I would imagine it would be labor intensive. If you want to be sought after you'd have to put time (and money) into your avatar, and that means purchasing different animations and genitals for a start (although female genitalia is probably less cumbersome than male). After that it would be much like "regular" cybersex I'm guessing: a lot of dirty talk, and the better you are at that the more successful you would be as a SL hooker.

I'm sure there are male hookers and/or gay male and female hookers, but I've never seen much evidence of them. Most of the in-world lesbians I know hang around places like Lesbos Island and hook up with each other there, rather than go club crawling. I've never really explored the gay club scene there, so I can't speak to that. Lesbos Island is one of my fave place, not because I'm looking for lesbian sex, but because its one place I won't be hassled by random male avatars (men can come there, but they'll be bounced if they act obnoxious) and because there are lots of non-U.S. people there to talk to. And for me, talking to people in other countries has always been what internet chat is all about.

It's cool.

I'm still steamed, though, that I didn't get any props for mashing a juliannism into a pro-zoo statement. I thought this place was supposed to be a sewer infested with the MAD-obsessed....and yet, no love for Blixa on that tip...*sigh*

Having dismissed MAD as a den of pure distilled stupid, I wouldn't know, Blixa. Though I am half tempted to sign up there just to see how much crap I can disturb and people I can piss off before they arbitrally ban me for poking MoPo's with a sharp verbal stick.

Anywas, after all the times I've delt with dumbasses around here like Scooter and ALitD, I've grown used to people making argfuments like the one you make as a joke above and them being completely serious... Sorry for lumping ya in with the dumbass, B.

Well Shades, I just got back from looking at "LDS Island." Some Mormons in SL bought an entire island to build their own world. I took a snap of "myself" standing in the virtual tabernacle---its now my avatar. I've got another avatar made from a snap of myself sitting in front of a dispay about the first presidency...I'll use that one later.

I was struck by the appropriateness of the Book of Mormon exhibit being constructed out of a hedge maze.

The name of whole place is Adam-ondi-Ahman, by the way.

Do they have virtual temple garments and engage in virtual polygamy?

No. Sadly. No temple sessions, no worship, nothing. I suppose the whole place is sort of proselytizing tool, but since its also on an island by itself, no one is going to go there unless they already know what the deal is. I think there is only a small group of them in world, from my limited research.
