Thanks, everyone.

KA, that was thought ful of you, really. I feel a little embarrassed.

Anyway, I hit 49. About an hour ago. Funny, I feel the same as yesterday. But, time sure does go fast these days.

Damn, I'm half way through, on a good day, so to speak. Yikes!

Anyway, Katharina is in the kitchen finishing a bavarian chocolate cake for my b-day dinner tonight.

We have a couple friends coming over for a Japanese dinner. No, not take-out or delivery. We cook it all here.

All kinds of things: tonkatsu, salmon, eggplant, miso soup, japanese rice (of course--I should say here that it is actually not real Japanese rice. It is grown in America. The good stuff grown in Japan is too expensive. Everyone thinks there is no difference, except the Japanese themselves. I seem to agree with the Japanese. But it will do.)

We also have a special Bulgarian drink called something like Raki. We met a newlywed couple from Bulgaria stuck in the sand on the beach in Greece and we helped dig them out. The next evening we celebrated with them on the beach. They had Bulgarian cheese (milk, not goat), wine and this special drink made by her father. It was very nice. Really, took your breath away. Very powerful. You can only take really little sips. It's delicious.

I'm sure we will drink some of that as well. They gave us some to take home with us.

Other than that, the day will be very laid back. I'm sure we'll watch Weeds sometime. I get a kick out of that show. And now that Big Love is finished, I have nothing else to watch.

Again, thanks everyone!

Edited to add: Oh! And I am reading the Book of Mormon for answers on how to house train my wild puppy. they are all there, right, answers that is. I'm sure I will find it. If I remember right, it was Alma....something or other....let me....check....Ah, there it is:

I turned right to it: Alma 17:11. It reads "....be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me......"

Well, I have my answer. What else can I say?
