For Angus...(New Recording)

I took your advice and backed off the reverb. I think the balance is better between the background and the vocal itself.

I still have to get some Cole Porter music, but until then, enjoy.

Nice. See, I'd like to hear you do some old Motown style R&B or maybe some snappy Jazz numbers, because you've got the voice for it, Miss Liz. You might want to try grabbing some foam padding or whatnot from a hardware store or fabrix store and put in on the walls of the room you're recording your vocals to kill off that echo I'm hearing (It sounds like you're singing in a bathroom still). You got a good mix on the background music and piano.

You hit and hold some low and high notes there very well. Never was impressed by a lot of singer that can hit a note with just a pop up and back down it's the ladies that can hit and hold the note that I like. A good example of what I'm talking about here is the song "I will always love you". That song was originally written for Dolly Parton but most people have only heard the Whitney Houston cover of it. Now, don't get me wrong, Whitney is a good singer, but she can't hit and hold the notes in that song. She pops up and screeches them for a seconds and falls back down to her normal range. Dolly hits those notes and holds them for as long as she likes, but then the song was originally written specifically with her voice in mind. Anyways, you fall under the "Dolly Parton" catagory of singers with hitting the notes and holding them. yeah the notes you hit aren't soprano high, but pretty damned impressive to hear a lady that can hit high end alto and then drop down to a tenor any time she wants. You'd got hella range on that voice, sweety.

Thanks, Angus! :)

I also just purchased the music to "Can't Help Lovin That Man" and "I Get A Kick Out of You".

As soon as I practice the piano a little, I'll try recording those.

Stay tuned!

Thanks again for being a fan.

I know rehashing old songs maybe isn't chic, but I'd love to hear you sing the old Elvis hit, "Always On My Mind". One of my all time favourites.

The Pet Shop Boys did their own version, but I like any versions which re-enact old favourites.

Hmmm...I don't have the music to that one, but I did pull out some old Barbara Streisand stuff I've done in the past. "You Don't Bring Me Flowers", "The Way We Were", and "We Never Said Goodbye"...
