Well, hope your holidays were good to you, SK.

I have this year become a big Jack Johnson fan. All his albums are excellent in my opinion. He released another this year, I believe.

I like the better version on the Rhythyms del Mundo cd. Brilliant.

If you haven't seen the movie 'Brokedown Melody', I highly recommend it. Johnson is in the movie surfing and a tune of his is in the soundtrack. Excellent soundtrack, by the way. But you have to see the movie to hear it. I can't seem to find a release of only the music.

This is the tune off the movie soundtrack and a little bit of the movie thrown in.

The most 'beautiful' movie I've seen this year. Don't miss it. It came out years ago, however, if I am not mistaken.
I detest my loose style and my libertine sentiments. I thank God, who has removed from my eyes the veil...

I obviously approach music from a totally different angle than y'all do:

1. Kenny Chesney, Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates
2. George Strait: Troubadour
3. Andrea Bocelli: Vivere

Everything else I bought this year was old rock anthologies (The TimeLife Classic Soft Rock series, Top Hits of the 80's, Salute to the 80's, etc). And I'm a fan of the $6.99 music site, www.yourmusic.com.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

The only 2008 album I bought this year was Down to Earth by Jem. It ended up being OK, but not as good as her first CD.

The "Into the Wild" soundtrack by Eddie Vedder would be my favorite album of the year (and movie) but not sure if it came out in 2007 or 2008.

I don't normally buy a lot of albums but these were some favorite hit songs I downloaded in 2008:

John Mayer Free Fallin Cover: (and my favorite LIVE performance)

Timbaland "Apologize"

One Republic
"Stop and Stare"

Colbie Callait "Realize"

Taylor Swift "Teardrops on my guitar"

Bleah. Her 2nd album is better, marginally.

I thought the album sucked too and only liked that one hit song. (wish I would have never seen the cheesy video) I didn't listen to much country music last year...I have to be in the right mood for it.
