Yeah, I found myself hesitating over some of the questions for the very same reason. Also: for some folks, I think some answers could be influenced by policy decisions relating to other questions. For example, if college tuition were to be made free for all people then forgiveness of all student debt could be seen as a more equitable option than it would be otherwise.honorentheos wrote:The question itself represents an issue I'm very concerned about (the future of work in the 21st C. as production of necessities shifts due to ever increasing automation), and taken literally stressing "consider" rather than the issue itself I'd say yes, the US should be considering that among many other ideas.

How'd you score?
Heh. Just for kicks, I donned my "ajax hat" and took a stab at it. Let the record show:
9 Bloomberg
8 Biden
6 Yang
6 Gabbard
5 Klobuchar
5 Steyer
4 Buttigieg
4 Sanders
1 Warren

Ajax, a piece of honest curiosity, what do you consider important meanings of Socialism and what are Democrats aiming at that fits? I do not so much mean to argue anything here just trying to understand.

It’s interesting to me how Trumpists don’t see themselves during the Clinton and Obama eras in their own caricatures. But, hey. Cartoons.

The Trump administration has been engaged in some fairly aggressive socialist policies - the kind where criticism of socialism's failings are the strongest - and Ajax has expressed not one word of criticism or regret. He doesn't care about socialism per se. Rhetoric aside, he seems to like socialism so long as it goes to his class and discriminates against groups he dislikes.
For him, this is just sloganeering. It doesn't go much deeper than that.

Ajax has not the foggiest idea what socialism really means. Anyone who equates socialism with communism is tipping their hand that they don't really know what these terms mean. He just knows socialism is an effective scare word for ignorant people.

I scored a 4-way tie for 1st, and my scores ranged from 12 to 9. Apparently, I agree with Warren, Yang, Gabbard, and Steyer the most, and Bernie the least.
Funny.

Political myopia is interesting?...passive/aggressive deflections are also interesting...either way, you left it undisputed for 2020.

In that i listen to Democrats I have the belief that they are pushing to continue Obama's booming economy even if it is something Trump has not wrecked yet. They are for actually doing infrastructure instead if waving a hand about it. They want better trade deals and have made them. They want border security, though not a grossly expensive wall that always has weakness.
