A potential assassin was arrested
They won't take it seriously until that headlines reads sans the "potential".
If even then!
Eventually it will happen.
Probably so, but will it make any more difference than when President Ronald Reagan was shot?
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Retired Marine's gun control video goes viral

This Marine Corps firearms instructor's recommendations on ownership and purchase standards for firearms makes far more sense than anything proposed by Republican leaders and their NRA owners.
Retired Marine Corps weapons instructor Matthew Gordon went viral with his TikTok video on gun reform. Hear his opinion on what he thinks America should do with gun control. #CNN #News
It is only a 3 minute and 23 second video, and well worth watching. Even highly trained, responsible marines are held to much higher standards and stricter responsibilities for ownership and control of personally owned firearms than civilians are held to.

This says so much. What kind of world do these people imagine around them? They image it just may be dangerous enough where they live that something bad MIGHT happen but not likely enough they consider themselves implicated in encouraging a violent home invasion. The political attack and slight schadenfreude of imagining a "They asked for it" comeuppance for being pro-gun control in a "dangerous" world is the reward and also the limit of their thinking.

In other words, they are just advertised they are idiots with guns. And since Jeff just virtually posted the lawn sign in their online front yard, well...

Another thoughtful banger by Jeff. Just when one is convinced conservative talking points have devolved into repeating slogans and memes, a luminary arrives to elevate the conversation.

I’d put a sign in my yard pointing back at the neighbors stating their gun collection is worth $10,000 on the street. Heh.

Thanks, AtlanticJeff. Those kids at Uvalde agree.

Seems like a good time to revisit age limits on certain types of firearms ownership, at least.

This is a great example of a problem with firearms. If everyone in the chain of custody isn't super-careful, someone can easily be accidentally killed with a firearm. Maybe we should take a hard look at where they're used and by whom. ; )
