DNC Far More Fiscally Conservative than RNC

Post by Gunnar »

Republican conservatives are fond of accusing and mercilessly excoriating Democrats for their fiscal irresponsibility and waste. Now I am not about to claim that Democrats are entirely beyond reproach in this or all other matters, but Republicans easily take the prize for fiscal irresponsibility and grift. Democrats do not even come close by comparison!

Republican National Committee Spending Report LEAKS and EXPOSES massive grift
Ronna McDaniel and the RNC were exposed engaging in a massive grift of donor money with spending reports leaking to the press. MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas reports.
To take just a few items: RNC spent $1,364,211.46 for luxury transportation and $505,909.43 for private jets. See the chart in the video starting here: https://youtu.be/lIHWXBql6Tk?t=335

Ben Meiselas compares that with DNC spending starting here: https://youtu.be/lIHWXBql6Tk?t=484

Ben then goes on to compare the multi-trillion dollars the Trump administration added to the national deficit with the more that a trillion dollars Biden has managed to reduce the deficit, so far, during his term of office. But this is old news, already discussed previously on other threads on this forum. It is simply an iron-clad, incontrovertible fact that Republican administrations have proven to be far more fiscally irresponsible that recent Democratic ones. Anyone denying that is either a bold-faced liar, or tragically misinformed dupe of the Republican grift machine!

In short, stop falling for the Republicans claims of being conservative! They are very far from conservative, particularly fiscally so. When it comes to fiscal conservativism in particular, Democrats are far more so than their Republican counterparts!
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Trump fans don't know what liberal or conservative means (nor do they know what a dictionary is for). All they know is the BS Trump tells them to believe. They know how to lie in lieu of an argument, and that's the extent of the political acumen.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

Are you sure? I thought the infrastructure bill increased the deficit by much more than Biden had otherwise reduced it.

The deficit decreased both in 2021 and 2022 from it's all-time maximum in 2020. But the magnitude of the 2020 deficit was due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased spending associated with it. Right now, the deficit is about the same size as it was in 2009, which was the prior all-time maximum. It included the fiscal stimulus passed in response to 2008 financial crisis. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/FYFSD The FRED site is very handy for finding graphs of all kinds of data about the economy.
