I couldn't agree more with you about George C. Scott's version of A Christmas Carol! It is my hands down favorite version. I don't remember for sure if I ever saw Patrick Stewart's version, but I'm sure it must be excellent. I'll have to look for it. It's a Wonderful Life is one of my favorites too.

The Patrick Stewart version is a bit better of the two, so it is definitely worth watching.

I found and watched Patrick Stewart's version on the TNT channel today. I remember having seen it before a few years ago, and it is definitely well worth watching. However, the George C. Scott version is still my favorite.

I really enjoyed the GoG Holiday Special. Great stuff! Some Schmo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 3:16 pmThe new Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special was kind of fun. It made me laugh a few times.
It occurred to me this year that my Christmas spirit comes from holiday specials, Christmas commercials and decorations. I suppose the Christmas themed graphics in football games also helps.

I missed seeing that one. Based on your and Schmo's praise of it, I'm sorry I did. I probably would have enjoyed it as well.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Mon Dec 26, 2022 1:45 pmI really enjoyed the GoG Holiday Special. It is a little cheesy, but then Christmas Specials kinda are. I remember the original Star Wars Christmas Special. Yikes.

Re: Christmas Movies
Based on these recommendations, I watched the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special last night.
Idea for a Republican Christmas movie: Have Texas Governor Greg Abbott dump a spaceship load of immigrants off on a frozen prison planet, clad only in flimsy T-shirts, shorts, and sandals.
