In the bill, Brodeur wrote that those who write “an article, a story, or a series of stories,” about “the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, a Cabinet officer, or any member of the Legislature,” and receives or will receive payment for doing so, must register with state offices within five days after the publication of an article that mentions an elected state official

If another blog post is added to a blog, the blogger would then be required to submit monthly reports on the 10th of each month with the appropriate state office. They would not have to submit a report on months when no content is published.

For blog posts that “concern an elected member of the legislature” or “an officer of the executive branch,” monthly reports must disclose the amount of compensation received for the coverage, rounded to the nearest $10 value.

Are the conservatives on this board really ok with the direction their Party is going? This is astonishing. This looks nothing like the Reagan and Bush conservatism I grew up with.

Ajax and Lowrance think that if Trump or DeSantis become Putin figures and lead as dictators that this will solve all of our problems as a country.

They mainly base this off of publicity stunts and tough talk by these kinds of leaders that piss of liberals, and not much else.

What will end up happening is an acceleration of the declining middle-income problem we already have, this isn't a case where white nationalist middle-income people are going to benefit. That's the bait, but there is no plan to significantly benefit the working white person, and even if there were a plan, it most likely wouldn't work because the economy is too complicated to rig in that direction, especially against the interests of the wealthy.

They will be culture warriors for the stupid people, and answer to the billionaires, until they have enough power that they don't have to answer to anyone. At that point, even if their lives have materially been hurt, Ajax and Lowrance will still claim they are very satisfied because a twenty or thirty percent decline in real purchasing power, for instance, will be worth it if a dictator figure is pissing off people they don't like with publicity stunts.
