Houston is a city in the US that has rejected zoning ordinances. They do have development ordinances so development isn't entirely market driven. One of if not the lowest costs of living for a major city in the US. But it's also a mixed bag.

Remind me again, what consequences have there been for Scott Perry, Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs, and Mo Brooks for ignoring congressional subpoenas?
Incidentally, right on cue, the lawyer for someone that was forced to testify behind closed doors is blasting Republicans for lying about the testimony. The lawyer wants the full transcript released. Begs the question, why wouldn't Republicans release the full transcript to begin with?

As I'm sure you'll agree, the answer to that question is blazingly obvious. They want to cherry pick and spin the testimony to make it seem to conform to their own preferred narrative and make their Democrat opponents look as bad as possible. They don't want any more truth to come out that makes themselves look bad, as has already happened nearly every time they have tried to hold open public hearings, making it very easy for Democrats to humiliate them by exposing the vacuousness and silliness of their evidence and accusations.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 4:55 pmRemind me again, what consequences have there been for Scott Perry, Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs, and Mo Brooks for ignoring congressional subpoenas?

No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
