A dark money group with ties to Trump’s inner circle dropped more than $90m on ads described as vile, racist and transphobic in the second half of 2022 alone, new tax records obtained by Documented and the Guardian reveal. The staggering sum makes the newly created group, which is based out of the nerve center for the Maga movement, one of the top political spenders in the last election cycle, as it now appears to gear up to influence voters with violent, bigoted messaging in 2024.

Right-wing media is responsible for much misinformation. Misleading voters is the MAGA key strategy. Look at all the Republican talking points put forth by Ajax over the years. No matter how vociferously they are refuted, he will keep pumping them out based on the endless manufacture of misleading Republican talking points.

A claim by Donald Trump that FBI agents were authorized by the Department of Justice to shoot him when they appeared at Mar-a-Lago to retrieve stolen government documents left a former DOJ official stunned at the extent the former president will go to incite his followers.

The headline noted this was a whopper of a lie even by Trumpian standards.

I'm not even reading what's at the link. If people buy his lies and rhetoric they have no intellectual curiosity at all. They wouldn't know a primary source if it jumped up and bit them in the face and they're too lazy to fact check. The FBI agents received what was essentially SOP for the use of deadly force. That's all it was. That's all it ever was. A copy of the policy about procedure.

What it wasn't was a permission slip to shoot Trump who by the way, wasn't even present when the raid took place. I think he was in Jersey or something but he wasn't even in the state when the raid happened. What's he got to worry about, Mr. I could shoot somebody in the middle of 5th Avenue?

The problem is that he intentionally runs his mouth so much and so fast that the facts and details get lost in the rhetorical shuffle. And he knows this. It's his tool of choice. He wears people out and wears them down until they become numb to it all.

We're talking about Trump aren't we? In that case they are one and the same.

In actual fact, "psych" is an abbreviation for psychology, not psychopathy. The closest you could get to abbreviating psychopathy would be "psycho" which is short for psychopath. In that case we're still talking about Trump.

Though I would be totally tempted to go full on Dark Triad with him. Here's a thing I yanked off a search for you on that. Trump has Dark Triad traits written all over him. I'm talking poster child here.

The dark triad includes malevolent personality traits: Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy. People with dark triad traits are often manipulative and lack empathy. They may conceal their true nature to earn your trust and then exploit it for their personal gain.

Here’s to all the ‘suckers and losers’ who didn’t think about ‘what’s in it for them’.

I knew Joshua Wheeler personally; he had come by my office a couple of times to shoot the crap. I never really figured out why he took a small, albeit honoring shine to me - we had no intersection in life other than being in the same cavernous building and I briefed him once on his responsibilities regarding OPSEC and the like.

He was probably the hardest man I knew. Hard not in the negative sense, but hard as woodpecker lips, and was cut from the same stuff as David Goggins, who I sometimes reference on this board.

Josh died in an heroic act, in an attempt to help strangers - a man who literally ran into a firefight fight so others may live. Like a few others I knew during my time at the Unit, Josh’s death hit hard, but especially so because he took the time to get to know me, and to share some stories.

Here’s to the men and women who gave their lives, for whatever reasons that led them into military service.
