Not at all. I was giving you a compliment and praise. Being feisty is an honest response to a world gone topsy-turvy, where strong defenses are issued for the otherwise unimaginable. When we live in the age of Trump and past values of honesty and integrity fall by the wayside, yours was an appropriate lone voice in the wilderness.
Thanks, Moksha. I was kidding about the ouch. I had to feign an offended reaction on behalf of my fellow academicians. I appreciate the kind words.

No need to apologize to me. I'm the same way. You're a very intelligent man and I enjoy hearing your perpsective. We have very different views on both religion and politics but that doesn't mean we can't discuss them without honor and mutual respect.
Thank you, ajax18. Our views are so far apart in some ways that I am more likely to be hard on you. I will strive to be more respectful when I engage with you.

Moksha, you silly bird, stay away from the dispassionate mush! You have real academicians here who vigorously eschew that kind of talk. Drink deeply of our nonsense. 8-) Speaking of that, it will be very helpful in future exchanges to know that when kish calls people names he is just being passionate about the topic!

Seriously, though, this has been a very enlightening thread.
