As in the past, I've been looking at various websites for victims of Hurricane Helene, specificialy for diaper banks. FYI while the Red Cross provides disaster relief packages and air drops, diapers are NOT part of the package. We typically think about diapers and wipes for infants and todds, and there are plenty of organizations where you can donate for those, but let's not forget our differently abled persons including youth and adults who need these products for daily use and hygiene.
Imagine yourself bed bound and/or chair bound, incontinent with nowhere to "go" and without a way to address your toileting needs. These are things most of us take for granted but we really can't afford to overlook the fact that our brothers and sisters in hurricane damaged areas are going with out these "must have" daily items in order to maintain their cleanliness and personal dignity, can we? From baby, to youth and all the way to grandma and grandpa! Can we cover that for them?

So...I've got a place that you can donate to if you choose to do so! Check out the organization website below, poke around there and see what you think!
The Diaper Bank of North Carolina

You don't need to report back here about whether or not you chose to donate. We don't need to know that. I just did want our board community to remember the need for child AND adult diapers and provide a way to help meet that need.
But you know what...let's just do it!
