I meant could Trump’s short term in office influence bonds. Could his announcement on tariffs influence bonds.

You get the gold star for the week. I got a message from my fellow forced-to-be Democrat friend who invests for a living. He'll text a market tidbit once or twice a year, it's not a common thing. I wasn't aware Trump folded until I got the text. He says the bond mayhem last night caused panic within the A-team. I take his word on stuff like this because his main friends are Hedge Fund managers.

The expectation is that as stocks sell off, cash and bonds are part of the retreat, but that's not happening, bonds and the dollar are falling.

Some say China is selling, if that's true, it would ironically indicate the tariffs have 'worked', as lowering the dollar makes US exports more attractive.
