If a Democrat suggested tariffs instead of Trump, progressives would be throwing a party over those tariffs!

No president in our lifetime has tried placing his head in a hot wood fired pizza oven! Let’s see Trump innovate there!

I recommend not giving the right any ideas about putting people in ovens.

Yet another piece highlighting the lack of understanding among progressives. Voters recall history, noting that Democrats implemented tariffs prior to Trump's administration. That's the reason Trump's favorability has increased now compared to before he implemented tariffs. It seems that progressives believe Americans lack discernment and will simply place their trust in them due to a perceived superiority in intelligence. Their self-righteous, compensatory attitude is the reason we lost the presidency, the House, and the Senate. One cannot underestimate voters intelligence and then anticipate their support at the polls.

So cute to see you argue for insanity using extremely misleading whataboutism.Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 11:13 amYet another piece highlighting the lack of understanding among progressives. I overestimated voters' intelligence. It didn't help.Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 11:13 amOne cannot underestimate voters intelligence and then anticipate their support at the polls.
Stupid people will be stupid. Nobody underestimated Trump voters' intelligence - it's practically impossible to do that. They are just as idiotic as we thought.

You get the gold star for the week. I got a message from my fellow forced-to-be Democrat friend who invests for a living. He'll text a market tidbit once or twice a year, it's not a common thing. I wasn't aware Trump folded until I got the text. He says the bond mayhem last night caused panic within the A-team. I take his word on stuff like this because his main friends are Hedge Fund managers.Yellowstone wrote:I meant could Trump’s short term in office influence bonds. Could his announcement on tariffs influence bonds.
The expectation is that as stocks sell off, cash and bonds are part of the retreat, but that's not happening, bonds and the dollar are falling.
Some say China is selling, if that's true, it would ironically indicate the tariffs have 'worked', as lowering the dollar makes US exports more attractive.
