I was under the impression that the CPB was created by legislation, and funding through Congressional budget, making it outside the prevue of the Executive Branch.

Not that doing things Constitutionally has been a high priority for MAGA, but I imagine this will be yet another thing to find its way before a judge (but not before at least some damage is done, like all things Trumplican).

I don't think that Trump is willing to acknowledge that there is anything that ought to be outside of the prevue of the executive branch, despite what The Constitution says. I won't be surprised if he tries to eliminate the CPB via an executive order or unlawfully block the congressionally appropriated funding for it. If the MAGA controlled congress passes a bill to abolish the CPB and PBS entirely, do you have any doubt that Trump will eagerly sign it into law? I have no doubt that Trump would subordinate both the two other branches of government, especially the Supreme Court, plus all other government agencies to himself and the executive branch if there were any way he could effectively finagle that. He has already said or implied that he doesn't know if he intends to honor his oath to support the constitution. This is scary! He didn't even bother to place his hand on the Bible when he took his oath of office this time. Does this imply that he will disregard the constitution whenever he finds it inconvenient to him and his personal desires?

If he does renege on his oat to support The Constitution, what better grounds than that can there be for impeaching him?
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Because up until now I didn't know that "excel" could be a transitive verb.
I have always admired your grammatical acumen, that's why I was surprised by how you misread my remark. I have found over the time I have known you, that you are one of the least likely among us to make grammatical errors. If anything, I have more often needed grammatical correction by you than the other way around. I also admire how you tend to readily and humbly accept correction, without rancor, on the rare occasions when you are demonstrably mistaken grammatically or on word definitions. And I can't remember you ever misspelling a word, other than an obviously inadvertent typo, which can happen to any of us.
Wow, you totally made my day. Thank you for your kind comments, sir. :-)
