I think you are right. There is a huge amount of fear behind all this stuff.

Personally, I sympathise with the growing anxiety of people who are increasingly scared about their inability to buy all the food they need as prices rise under Trump, as their health insurance costs soar, as their children can't afford to move out into a home of their own, and so on ... The problem is that the very very rich people who in recent decades have grabbed all the money that once might have gone to these people's wage packets have succeeded in getting them to blame immigrant workers for all their problems.

The decay of a free press and the iron grip of the billionaires on social media and TV channels like Fox means that people like HoH are unlikely to see any competing viewpoint effectively and clearly presented.
