It is now a practically unequivocal fact that the surest way to know that something is true is Trump insistently claiming it to be a hoax. Is there really anyone here who has not yet figured out that practically incontrovertible fact?
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I think it is true to say that Trump does not principally see publicly spoken words as a way of informing other people about what is the case. Rather, words are a kind of magic spell that can be used to change the nature of reality.
