Jersey Girl, I love rockabilly, pin-up fashion, as well. When I met my husband I had a wonderful wardrobe and he bought me anything I desired for the first few years we were married. When we separated I went a weeeeeee bit nuts buying dresses. Yet, it was fun -- although I just mainly sit at home, fix up and look pretty for MDB. I actually resent him not "allowing" (that's embarrassing) me to wear certain clothes in my 20's. Every year for his Birthday I'd have pictures taken for him (a bit of campiness and sexiness) and had fun dressing up. I just love to play dress up. I find many of the dresses quite whimsical -- they're sexy, yet, fun!

GIMR, here's some more corsets -- do you like them? I love them!

You can also find a selection on ebay.

Here's another site you may like. http://www.babygirlboutique.com/retro-dresses.html

I actually purchased these 2 dresses last November--> http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/ ... _148720175

I bought this a few days later (I was cut off completely after that....)

I usually buy the shoes first, then search for a dress to match!

I think I do everything backwards.

PS. All the dresses are gorgeous!

I was invited to go out this coming Friday. I don't want to go, though. I mean, I really don't want to go. I hate, hate, hate feeling pressured to do something I just don't want to do. I think it would be rude of me not to go. Yet, at the same time I feel as though I should let this man know that I just don't want to see him, really. I don't know how to make it clear to him. I haven't really had to deal with this in a long time and don't want to hurt his feelings -- yet, I can't just keep avoiding his phone calls... it's not really fair to either of us.

I feel pretty yuck about the entire situation, actually. I should just go, enjoy myself and that's that. Right?

This dress isn't fancy at all, it's quite practical, and I think I'm going to buy it as soon as I can get to Dillards. This week, for sure. I think I could wear it almost anywhere, and it's Real Cheap! I love the polka-dot dress you bought, Moniker.

Cute Black Dress

KA

PS. I just paid better attention and noticed it's navy! Forget it. I want black!

Well I dunno about that. If you don't want to perpetuate something you're truly not interested in...where is Ann Landers when we need her, eh?

How to make it clear...why not make a thread about that...maybe the male population here will have something useful to say?

OMG! That is soooo cute! I love that! Yet, like you I'd prefer it in black. I think black and white dresses are too frickin' darling!

Well, I met this man last October and he kept in contact with me. I told him it was tooooo soon -- it was! Then we went out for drinks one evening (I sipped on my Agave Kiss) and I didn't enjoy it in the least.

Here's the deal, pretty much. I have told him a few times that we've talked that I'm enjoying being single, and we talk about my life and stuff --- no doubt he's fun and I joke around with him... yet, I do that with EVERYONE! So, maybe I'm giving him mixed signals? I'm not certain. For instance, after I blew him off last time you'd think he wouldn't call again? Yet, he did... and this time I felt bad for blowing him off last time so I agreed tentatively...

I'll tell you what is bothering me! He is rather persistent -- I do NOT like that. It reminds me too much of my ex. I feel pressured almost. Urgh.

My parents like him, also --- that's always a minus.

I hope you won't stand on pretense if we ever meet.
