I take it this was a joke? Or one of those "you'll never believe this, but..." stories?

but hardly any policy proposals. the actual issues? Incidental. Throw in a few "USA IS NUMBER ONE"'s and you've got yourself a platform.

That's a good description of the Democrat platform and ticket. What else you got? Nothing.

No kidding. As she said, Obama uses "change" to serve his career whereas McCain uses his career to make change.

I don't know how you can say she and McCain ignore the issues. I think they touched on specific issues and pointed out why Obama is an absolute moron. It was good to see Guliani touch on some of the things I have noted here recently.

"It's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform, not even in the state Senate,"

Oh yea, and he voted "present" 130 times as a legislator. That is something I didn't know. As Guiliani stated correctly, As Commander in Chief you don't have the luxury of voting "present." You actually have to make decisions instantly, and Obama's record shows he has trouble deciding things.

They're replaying the speech. I wonder about the whole argument about Obama wanting to grow the govt and raise taxes in light that:

Bush increased the size of the govt as well [Homeland Security Department]
Bush increases deficit...taxes will have to be raised eventually. Govt costs money, we can't borrow indefinitely can we?

She was pretty specific I think, in saying he plans to raise all sorts of taxes, such as the death tax and capital gains taxes, etc. Does anyone really doubt that he will? Higher taxes and the redistribution of wealth is a hallmark of the left's agenda, and Obama is as left as one goes.

We are not talking about Bush, however. We are talking about what has been the standard protocol of a democrat white house. Generally speaking, democrats like big government, Bureaucracies gone amuck, etc. Palin has a documented history of cutting wasteful spending.

She sold the taxpayers luxury jet on Ebay and put the money back into the government, for crying out loud!

If it were in other circumstances I'd like it. But I'm soo throughly disenchanted with the Reps [and I'm registered Rep.]...sigh. Can I move to Germany and live in gramps basement?

This is surprising me. Over at the hillaryforum, I haven't found a single Hillary supporter who isn't supporting McCain/Palin over Obama/Biden.

I truly believe that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Gave an excellent and a very Great speech. I loved listening to here Great Speech earlier tonight. Sarah Palin is humorous and she is a very smart and a bright Lady. I definitely believe that we the United States of America need a Female Vice President, and I truly believe that Sarah Palin is very much well qualified to become the first Female Vice President. I will most definitely Plan to Vote for Senator John McCain along with Governor Sarah Palin, for President and Vice President, this coming General Election in November.

Hi Kevin,

Yes, I listened to Palin's speech.

If I had paid my two bits for a sideshow ticket, I would have been sorely disappointed. I watched the MSNBC coverage. Perhaps the most telling crescendo of the evening came when the (partial?) crowd gave Palin a rousing ovation, yet Newt Gingrich et al. responded like lifeless corpses.

But as for me and my house, Barack Obama and Joe Biden merit our support.

Kind regards,
