I propose that new board participants proposing rule changes should be able to at least understand what the existing rules mean, before proposing any new ones.

A man enters the room in an ill-fitting Mr. Mack suit. It’s grey.

The man looks frustrated, he loosens his tie, an art silk cardinal red fabric, meant to impress, but on a budget.

The man appears to be in the twilight of his vitality, a tired existence awaits him.

He is agitated.

The man wrestles off his tie, shakes off his jacket. They fall to the foot of his bed, a duvet covers his wife’s one cherished set of West Elm cotton sheets.

Hands on hips he kicks off his church shoes he’s now owned for seven years, as they are used less and less as his weariness of church obligations wears on him.

He unbuttons his white shirt at the collar, and pulls it and his garment top off in one movement. He pushes his pants and bottoms to the floor. He takes five quick steps to free himself.

Naked, minus the black socks, he walks off camera into a closet.

The camera pans imperceptibly on the computer, a six years old set up bought from a Circuit City.

The man reappears and situates himself between the camera and the computer desk.

He is naked, except his socks and a thick Depends secured around his waist. It is a startling sight.

He soils himself. The diaper fills with impotent rage at a life less lived.

He pulls his chair out, and seats himself on it. The warmth of his human waste presses against his abdomen.

He feels a sharp anticipation.

As I read the rules for Spirit Paradise, it seems we have 2 of the 3 rules being consistently violated lately.

1. Keep all communications "Rated PG" to "Rated PG-13" or better.
2. No blatant or otherwise obvious personal attacks allowed.

My personal hope is that this can happen primarily through self moderation. Far too many posts in this forum are obviously out of line with rules 1 or 2 or both.

Well, I'm not a moderator and have no interest in becoming one. It appears as if Paradise is being used as if it were Prison, which I would speculate is an untenable situation.

in my opinion, this forum is being used, no question about it - but I believe it's being used as a weapon. (By a relatively small number of folks with really loud voices)

There is a lot of stuff here which belongs in spirit prison. In the past a fellow who over and over said "you lying liberals" was placed there. It did not change his posting but it limited the spirit to one area. I would prefer to see all of the scatological insults sent there. All of the you are stupid and lying type conversations belong there.

I am going to step up and say something which should have been said earlier. Some Schmo, despite the degree to which I share your political view I really think you should rein in the insults. Doc, you should rein in your hostilities sometimes. I could well be wrong but I have wondered if you chased EAllusion away from the board. He is missed. I realize that sometimes disagreements between people somewhat close in views can become even more heated than between people far apart. I am not insensitive to your disagreements with EAllusion but I got the impression that sometimes you took it to a form of hassling .
