Childhood friend took his wife and traveled from SC to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. Not sure if that is feasible or even necessary because I don't know what is in GA. Her treatment included bone marrow transplant and was successful. Just mentioning it if you are weighing out center options.

Consider starting a Caring Bridge Journal. That way your messages can be private to only those you invite and you won't have to put things on Facebook. If I am not mistaken, there's a meal train set up on that one. Folks can sign up to bring food over to keep you going. You can invite us if you want to. I'd keep that in PM's. If you aren't familiar with these journals, they work a lot like Facebook where you post and folks make comment, but are far more private. Depends on what your preferences and needs are.

Well, cancer made a bad choice here. If there’s any team that can kick it in the arse, it’ll be the two of you.

Speaking of, someone in this community might just have something awesome to offer in this fight. There’s a way to find out and take part:

Ah, dang man. Sorry to hear. My father beat lymphoma through a bone marrow transplant, so I think the science has come a long way. Good luck.

Kevin,

Sorry to hear about your wife. It takes a while after the initial diagnosis for the family to re-organize and shift into battle mode. Its best if everyone involved pitches in, learns all they can about what lies ahead, and expects to win.

We have experience with cancer in this family and have learned that early intervention and proper medical treatment can do wonders. My wife has been through the process twice with two different types of the disease. Courses of treatment involved surgery, diagnostic and therapeutic radiation, and meds. In spite of having left a few parts and pieces in the pathology lab, she has emerged healthy, happy and cancer free. The majority of young and middle aged patients do.

Best wishes to you and your wife.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Kevin. I sincerely hope that the current state of cancer therapy is up to the task of healing your wife. I know the anguish of losing a loved -one to cancer. I had a much beloved and respected sister-in-law who succumbed to kidney cancer, and almost lost a young grand nephew to stage 4 neuroblastoma. I wish you and your wife the best!

ETA: When you were treated for testicular cancer, you said you went to Brazil for treatment. Are you and your wife planning to do the same for your wife's treatment? Is the needed expertise also available there, and would the cost saving be worth the trip, as it was for your treatment? Just curious, and I hope I didn't offend you by being nosy enough to ask!

No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

This is tough news to hear. How's your wife holding up? I sincerely hope for the best for her and for you and your family. Cancer treatments are constantly improving, so one can have hope.

I'm so very sorry to hear this, Kevin.

canpakes that was a stroke of genius right there. I checked and I am not a cadidate to donate.

This is what I can donate on the spot.

Kevin if during the course of this journey, you somehow find yourself in GoFundMe territory (or any other type of crowd funding website) to help with extra expenses that are not covered by insurances, pop it over to me in a message if you want and I will post it on every forum here and make sure that it retains visibility. I'll post it to my Facebook if I need to. If you need anything of a practical nature that we can provide, same thing, I'll put it up here and see if we can't come up with it for you. The very same persistence that irritates you about me, could possibly work in your favor.

Try me. I'll do it until you tell me to stop.
