What is your source for this? Something you just take on faith? We don't have sufficient data to state what the percentages are because local law enforcement agencies haven't kept track and every time Democrats try to fund studies on this issue Republicans shoot them down because they don't want the hard truth to be known. Even bills Police departments want passed, Republicans shoot them down. Just worship the men in blue and dismiss all the murders as bad apples or innocent mistakes or what not. Ignore the fact that officers have been fired for blowing the whistle on corruption in their own precincts. Never mind the fact that we have video footage of cops planting drugs and weapons at crime scenes in order to justify their murders.Atlanticmike wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 1:21 pmthe vast majority of those shootings are 100% legitimate.
Imagine the number of corrupt cops we'd have on video if cellphone cameras had been available since the 1950's.
In the above example, a terrified woman and her child were hiding in a room and were killed, not by a man with a bicycle lock, but by a bullet fired by a police officer. The man was clearly mentally ill, probably schizophrenic, and the cops are trained to do nothing in terms of de-escalation in these instances. They are trained to neutralize any perceived threat using lethal force and they are taught to shoot to kill every time. There is no attempt to shoot the leg or to disarm by other means. This all needs to change. And at the end of the day we have to ask the cop worshipping crowd if they're really pro-life. I mean, what's a 14 year old girl's life worth? Or a 12 year old boy like Tamir Rice who was gunned down by cops for merely minding his own business playing with a toy gun in a public park? Or the murder of John Crawford, the father who was minding his own business at a Walmart, talking to his girlfriend on the phone before cops charged him and gunned him down for holding a BB gun that some Walmart employee left out of the package.
