Rogan apologizes. Says he'll try to do better.

I appreciate the way he is approaching this, but I'm still a bit skeptical he's willing to follow through. From his monologue he seems to think hosting Sanja Gupta one time for the sole purpose of bashing him and CNN gives equal balance to him hosting the same whacka-doodles over and over and giving them hours and hours to just say whatever nonsense they want with zero pushback.

So if I watch this, am I going to hear him say that he hosted Sanja solely to bash him and CNN? Will I hear him say that Dr. Malone and others are whacka-doodles? Will he say that his intent was to let people say whatever they wanted without pushback?K Graham wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 2:28 pmhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcRdA21Hyh4

And, are you suggesting that there is no pushback and that he was successful, or that there is pushback and that he failed? Did he disclose his intent, or are you just that awesome that you have an inside track on his intentions, even more than Joe has about his Joe's intentions?

Re: Joe Rogan getting canceled?
That he had some quack guy on isn't that bad in itself. The question is, how much skepticism did he show towards the quack guy vs. how much skepticism did he show towards Gupta and others?
Gupta did a poor job arguing his case, but Joe's skepticism of vaccination was over the top, while at the same time, he was all-in on Ivermectin because of its "in vitro" success and because it was approved for human use. This is the standard Cultellus-level apologetics for pseudo-science. Go all-in on the stupid thing if there is the barest possibility there could be anything to it, but be a raging skeptic about established science. If there's a soft spot under a concrete foundation the building is sure to fall, but if horse crap is proven to stack high enough, then its better to build an igloo out of that instead, and go live there.
My concern isn't so much whether he had a nut job on his show, but how much sympathy he shows to the nut jobs ideas vs. his skepticism towards established science.
So my question for those who saw his show with the nut job guy, is how much sympathy did he show towards this idea of mass hypnosis?

Re: Joe Rogan getting canceled?
I saw a funny Twitter on this the other day. The tweet was was something like "Spotify is canceling Joe Rogan." The comment was "so he'll just go back to being everywhere?"
I got a chuckle out of it.

Re: Joe Rogan getting canceled?
There is nothing wrong with hosting crackpots as a way to entertain. I've actually listened to some of his YOUTUBE broadcasts that hosted people who talked about a fake moon landing, bigfoot, chimps that kill lions, etc. I like listening to these for the purpose of entertainment. I wouldn't even be bothered if Rogan said he believed this stuff. But when the controversial issues get political, he does tend to gravitate far Right and stay there. If he hosted Jordan Peterson once that would be one thing. But he's hosted him and a few others MANY TIMES over, which tells me he's wanting a certain viewpoint to get more traction in the mainstream. But if it is false information, then why?

Apparently Rogan is now getting hammered after a montage was released of him using the N word 20 times.
