Your problem is that's all you read. The stuff in between the lines that you imagine are there.

Hawekeye says the FBI came up with the plan to kidnap, but that's not according to the FBI. That's according to two criminals who were caught trying to kidnap the Governor. And of course, he gladly uses that to defend them because they're basically all brothers in arms waiting for the next civil war.
Pretty hilarious this is the only example you choose to respond to, because that's the only point Brietbart has shown you how to deflect. Nothing to say about one the the GOP's leaders indirectly calling for all Republicans to riot in the streets. You know, that stuff you were whining about throughout the BLM movement. This all proves that Jan 6 wasn't some fluke. Violence truly is a tactic the current GOP is willing to use to retain power.
Judge tells Whitmer kidnap jury: It's not entrapment if you're already willing
It really does help to read things not published by Brietbart. And in Binger's case, things that are actually published.

The FBI can do whatever they want, let the consequence follow.

That is by far one of the most disturbing articles I have read in a while. The FBI and that judge should be ashamed, but they are not.Vēritās wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:04 pm

This is the first time you've heard of this and only bothered by it because it hurts a couple of unhinged right-wingers?
This is how the FBI has always worked. Nothing new here. Examples, FBI pretending to be an underage kid in chatrooms. FBI pretending to be a hitman.
It's always been dicey in my opinion, but at the same time it's good for real risks to weigh heavy on the minds of child abusers, murderers, and republicans doing what's asked of them by their party's leaders.

Oh? Please quote the parts of the article that led you to that conclusion.Binger wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:40 pmThat is by far one of the most disturbing articles I have read in a while. The FBI and that judge should be ashamed, but they are not.Vēritās wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:04 pm

It is not one piece. It is the whole damn thing. And, like Gad says, the process has always been dicey. Seeing it laid out like that to "catch" someone in a crime that they are vulnerable to commit but not actually committing is scary AF. The busted dudes are likely real POS's. No doubt. But damn. Setting up people to commit impossible crimes and then telling the jury to judge them based on a propensity and not an actual act is some scary ass crap.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 12:19 amOh? Again, the whole piece is disturbing. But this should scare the “F” out of people.
Asking juries to judge "willingness" is screwed. At that point, why even bother to sit the damned jury, just roll dice or ask someone that you like to make the decision you like. So yeah. Scary. I don't take a criminal trial with that standard seriously nor do I take the FBI that goes out enticing people like that very seriously. And I certainly don't take the media's report of the incident in 2020 seriously. If an FBI agent persuades someone to commit a crime, it's not entrapment if that person is already willing.
