Bumping to get Markk's attention ... no doubt he can explain why the attack on Congress did not warrant Trump calling out the National Guard, which he had certainly the power to do ...Chap wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 5:17 pmMarkk - remind me again: when a mob was attacking the Capitol on that January 6, shouting "Hang Mike Pence" and trying to break through the security barriers and locked doors to get at the Senators and Representatives to stop the election* being certified, why didn't Trump think that warranted calling out the National Guard?
Because he didn't think it was a dangerous enough incident?
Or what was it? I mean, he must have had a good reason, surely?
So just remind us now, please.
*You know, the election that Trump lost. That election.

Can you imagine? The dude has to be a psychopath to let that happen (well, to encourage it actually) when he could have gotten it under control and actually did something to make him look like a competent leader.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 5:43 pmHe was happy to watch the mob he launched tear into it, deface it, and pummel to a pulp any law enforcement that got in their way. He sat glued to the tv instead of protecting the Capitol and the Congress as it performed one of its most sacred functions--to facilitate the peaceful transfer of power from one executive to another, both duly elected.

It blows my mind. I sometimes can’t believe it is really happening. I simply cannot understand how any Christian, any patriot, any believer in law and order, could possibly have continued to support Trump after January 6. At best, I have to see it as a serious flaw in the person’s awareness or judgment. At best. Still, I think it is fair to remind them what they voted for. I don’t go in for this idea that you vote for part of what a candidate represents. You effectively vote for the entire candidate, warts and all, when you cast that ballot. There is no hiding behind pro-life judges, or some such, as your excuse for having cast a ballot for a vile creature like Trump. God did not call Trump to save America. The Trump voter’s idolatry put him there to steal all the oxygen in the room and then burn down the building. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 8:05 pmCan you imagine? I feel the same way. It would be inconceivable were it not currently happening.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 8:26 pmIt blows my mind. I sometimes can’t believe it is really happening. In this video, look carefully at the policeman in the left edge background. He clearly aims at the reporter, shoots at her, and hits her in the leg. Just like Trump asked for! (OK, Trump would have preferred live rounds ...)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJtvw02E6to
The video give you several chances to see him, and once you have it is utterly clear.
From where he was, he could see very easily she was a reporter and posed no danger to anyone.
But he fired at her all the same. And I wonder how many Trump supporter cheered when they saw that?
(By the way, that video was from the USA, wasn't it? I am beginning to get a bit confused.)

Chap can I just ask you this? So on youtube can you view the other channels that we post from the US such as Brian Tyler Cohen, Meidas Touch, The Bulwark and others like them that share independent news and commentary? Just curious.
