Re: Challenge to Ajax and Subgenius
Poor Ajax, he’s so confused he doesn’t know what he’s really mad at. A cabal within the federal government conspired to rob the citizens of targeted of their votes, in violation of law and the constitution. This is something any decent conservative who believes in state’s rights would find worthy of second amendment remedies — the Feds stealing the people’s right to vote.
But he can’t, because it’s his hero who has encouraged stealing those citizens of their votes, so he has to support the theft. And though he despises activist federal courts, he wants them to take away the votes of those states — probably the most activist thing a Federal Court could do — overrule the Supreme Courts of these states to cancel their citizen’s votes.
And though he will strenuously defend the right of a bakery not to do business with gay folks, he wants the federal gov government to force private businesses to do business with him. What he really wants is to socialize Twitter and Amazon so he and his buddies can encourage the execution of politicians and reporters, although he would strenuously oppose socialization that would get people better access to health care.
He’s just a raging ball of resentment that can’t put together consistent positions on anything. All he’s left with are weak whataboutism.
Ajax, I promise. We won’t build a wall to keep you here. The door out will always be there. Don’t let it hit you in the ass on the way out.

I clued into this a few years ago when he was getting really racist-y with his post, perhaps around the time he was outed by Screech as a Stormfront poster. I kept urging him to develop an ideologically consistent approach to his Conservatism. At the time everyone was just calling him a racist, and, as it turns out, that’s the only consistent thing he dials into. Black people mostly, with a side of Mexicans. He’s just a raging ball of resentment that can’t put together consistent positions on anything.

Wow! This an excellent perfectly correct analysis! If in my old age I become an unstable brain damaged moron and start thinking like Ajax can I come to you for therapy? Ajax certainly could use some.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 2:18 amPoor Ajax, he’s so confused he doesn’t know what he’s really mad at. That’s awfully nice of you to say. Thanks. I have no idea about whether I could be an effective therapist. But I’ve had the benefit of lots of therapy, and that does help one understand how brains work.Nomomo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:11 amWow! This an excellent perfectly correct analysis! Ajax lives in the freest country in the world. And if you measure freedom by the opportunity to learn, grow, communicate, travel, and experience, he’s got more of it than 99.999999% of Homo sapiens that have ever lived. I mean, Damn, I’m conversing with you over a device I hold in my hand that gives me access to more information than I could absorb in a lifetime. It gives me access to a worldwide marketplace where I can buy stuff with a few clicks and it will show up at my door. I can travel across a huge country with no internal checkpoints or passports, and the main danger to my safety is my driving. I’m safe from dozens of deadly diseases and have access to medical wonders that protect me from thinks that would have meant certain death only a century ago. I could go on.
And still Ajax is miserable. And he attributes his unhappiness to forces he can’t control. He’s locked himself in a prison of misery and doesn’t understand that the key is in his pocket. Instead he rages at the iron bars he built. Seeing this requires no great insight. It’s obvious if you read what he says and take him at his word.
Therapy could certainly help him learn to be happy, but first he has to want to. And I don’t see anything from him that leads me to believe he wants to. It’s like he’s addicted to resentment.
I might be a good therapist if I had the faintest idea how to help him see how to drop the weight off his anger and resentment and learn how to be happy. But I don’t have the faintest idea how to do that.
On the other hand, if you start feeling resentful, we can meet up and slam down a couple beers and solve the world’s problems. That always makes me feel better.

Re: Challenge to Ajax and Subgenius
With your responses on this thread you have only further disgraced yourself and revealed your inherent dishonesty, immorality, cluelessness and/or determined trollishness. No matter what you think of the justice or validity of our 48 month long criticism of Trump and his mendacity, corruption and incompetence, there is no honest or reasonable way to gloss over the fact that the insurrectionist riot of Jan 6 was a criminal, treasonous act, and so was Trump's verbal incitement of its perpetrators. This alone unequivocally confirms that the frequently expressed concerns and criticisms levelled against Trump during the 4 years of his presidency were fully rational and justifiable. Nor are the deplorable events of the last week anywhere close to being the only justification for condemnation of Trump and much that he stands for. He will undoubtedly go down in history as the worst and most incompetent President this nation has ever had. His closest rival in that regard is, perhaps, Andrew Jackson, Trump's apparent idol.subgenius wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 1:47 amWhats your point here? Are you trying to illustrate how the deaths and destruction from the BLM/antifa riots were morally worse and more dangerous and more seditious and less likely to have you fake panic?Chap wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 5:49 pm
Yup, in general maybe, but in particular:
- not speech that incites people to commit a crime, such as 'Hang Mike Pence!', "Break the door down!" and so on.
- not protest that involves smashing or stealing things in a building into which you have forced your way, and beating a police officer on the head with a fire extinguisher.
... so that really doesn't help the people who have been arrested much ...
Or are you just concerned about Nancy's laptop computer.

Re: Challenge to Ajax and Subgenius
I fully agree with Nomomo's praise of your inputs to this thread. It is blazingly obvious that to people like Ajax and subgenius, the First Amendment right of freedom of speech means freedom from any moral obligation to tell the truth, whenever it is not in one's favor, more than it means freedom to honestly express one's true opinions.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:58 amAjax lives in the freest country in the world. Re: Challenge to Ajax and Subgenius
Oh I am wading right into this! Let me pull out the little shingle I have no right to. After all, that is what you are doing, right?
No. What we get is a constant tone of low affect from him.
Look at the long list of positive things you mentioned about life:
Ajax can't do that.
Think about what I've said and tell me what you think in reply. Do my comments make sense to you? They make sense to me, but of course, it's 4 a.m. so there is that to consider.
What I think are you describing is learned helplessness versus adaptive behavior. He shows NO signs of adaptive behavior, not in his posts anyway and certainly no adaptive behavior that serves a positive function. Based on his posts, what I see him doing is searching for external solutions instead of internal solutions. This is why he looks for a leader to look up to. He doesn't know how to be the leader of his own life. He looks for someone powerful because he feels powerless. He can never win because he thinks or believes that winning requires someone or something outside of himself. He looks to assign blame outside of himself. He doesn't have the capacity to look inward. This is why you describe him as lacking insight.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:58 am

I'm going to throw a dart and hit something real fast but only because it's nearly 4 a.m. I think he's deals with chronic depression and anxiety. Why? Because as I said above, I think this is a case of learned helplessness versus adaptive behavior. How would you feel if you believed you could never see that you yourself do anything to improve your plight in life? Give a listen here. I think humor is an adaptive behavior. Ever seen him crack a joke or respond to one?Therapy could certainly help him learn to be happy, but first he has to want to. And I don’t see anything from him that leads me to believe he wants to.
