Here they are for State of Florida:
- Pull over and stop in a safe place out of traffic.
- Roll down the driver's side car windows to give the officer a clear view inside the vehicle as he or she approaches.
- Hands in plain view on the steering wheel at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions with fingers spread.
- Answer questions with a simple yes or no response when possible. If the officer asks if there is a weapon in the vehicle describe the weapon and where it is located and inform the officer whether or not you have a CCW.
- Ask permission before reaching for your wallet or purse or before reaching inside the center console or glove box for identification or registration.
- Smile. (OK, this one is not official, but the Sheriff's deputy who lives next door says it never hurts.)
