I am here to take part in a discussion board, in which people (a lot of the time at least time) state their positions on questions of interest and importance, and attempt to support them with argument and evidence.

I am not interested in an endless series of links on multiple threads to youtube snippets all basically entitled "Hey! Watch this to see how dumb <people I dislike> are".

Try instead explaining (in words typed on the page) exactly who these people you call 'progressives' are, what positions they advocate, how many of them there are in the US, and the degree of political influence they exercise. If what you say is substantive and interesting, others may read it and reply. As it is, you are just blowing raspberries into cyberspace and convincing nobody but yourself.

Atlanticmike, there are a lot of discussions had on the board about who is trolling whom or how much people tolerate certain behaviors by posters whose views they support while decrying others for similar posting. I point that out so it's clear I chose to comment specifically on the subtopic made explicit above.

Stating you have no interest in discussion but are only posting on the board to spam it is the cardinal sin. It is singularly destructive in ways combative or even offensive posts can't be. Spamming a board destroys any pretense of the forum being a discussion forum.

If you don't choose to engage people in discussions you should be put on cue and limited to the telestial forum. It destroys any pretense of sincerity or credibility and I for one find people who abuse the board in this way to be the lowest quality of poster.

At any point you can view one of my links and we can discuss the content. If you choose not to then that's fine by me. I'm not going to beg you to view them. I'd love to discuss lots of topics, but there's no way to do so on spirit paradise without being insulted. Here! I'll give you an example. A poster named ceeboo started posting again in spirit paradise about a month ago. Everyone said high, but within 10 ( best guess) of his post members of the ECHO CHAMBER GANG started in on the insults. He started a thread with cute little baby memes to try and relieve the tension in spirit paradise but they gave him grief over that also. Again, this forum runs smoothly as long as the conservatives understand who's running the show, THE ECHO CHAMBER GANG is in charge and if you get out of line they will sick doc cam on your ass. I grant you most conservatives are happy playing the submissive role. Some will even be perfectly content to write post that they think might not draw attention from the "enforcer" doc cam. But as you can probably tell, I don't play that game. Every conservative here has been called a troll or been accused of spamming. Apparently it's just how this place operates. I look forward to discussions here. But right now I'm having a pissing contest with doc cam, Lem and jersey.
