I heard some chatter elsewhere that the area where the dive team has been brought in is also being pumped out. I can't confirm that. I don't see pump trucks in the overhead views. That area is a mess of swamp and vegetation. Snakes, alligators, panthers, coyote.

My current yet evolving theory...Brian Laundrie isn't anywhere in the Carlton Reserve. I think his parents helped give him a running start. I have no idea what he might be using for transportation or if he's simply going from one wilderness area to another---Carlton Reserve backs up to another wilderness area. Anyhow, if Brian Laundrie did use Carlton Reserve as an exit ramp, he knows the area that is for sure.

Wonder if there were cameras on that parking lot? Looked like a trail head to me...

Bare minimum, he could be up in the panhandle by now. Making his way to Mexico or wherever. He could live in national parks for the rest of his miserable life. The thing is, is the guy needs to eat. I don't get that he's a true survivalist. He's got to get food somewhere even if it means dumpster diving and if he were to dumpster dive there's more than a chance that a security camera would pick it up.

Watching some of the search footage is deja vu of the search for Gannon Stauch where they searched all the area bodies of water. Gannon Stauch wasn't anywhere near a body of water. He was killed in his own him, transported in the trunk of a car, his body stashed on a country roadside, retrieved and moved to Florida in a moving van, then the suitcase he was stuffed into was dumped under a bridge in Florida.

Is this the place where over 700 people disappeared in about 96 months?

I'm not following that story line at all. I thought...that was Wyoming? Don't go by me. My focus is on this one case and another couple of cases in my own state.

Some chatter about Brian Laundrie accessing his IG account. Getting on and getting off again. Who the heck knows at this point. He could have easily done that I guess. I'm sure FBI is following any and all leads.

Based on what I've seen in other recent cases, cell phones and security cameras are not a criminal's friend.

As I understand it the couple had been touring with a moderate social media following. What are the chances it would have gone viral without that?

I don't know how many followers she had. I think what we're seeing right now is what happens when social media platforms align for a common purpose.

I forgot to add this. What has been happening for the past couple of days or so is that people are scouring social media platforms for evidence and clues. That would be fine except that there's a whole faction in this society that are all too willing to alter photos for attention. I would say that right now, based on what I am seeing on youtube alone is that the weirdness is reaching critical mass right now...people taking whatever ball they can find or manufacture and run with it.

That's the downside of the youtube crime channels. It takes a while to sort through who is even remotely reliable and then hope you've found a good youtuber with a conscience---as you might guess, those are few and far between.

Right now it's time for me to look away from youtube (take a peek now and then) and wait for the next actual news update on the case. You can pick up pieces at the beginning of a case using YouTube but eventually (like right now) the pieces start flying around and it's not hardly worth one's time.

Here's a piece of the case. When I walked into the house just a half hour ago, the big guy said that 'they' were talking about Brian Laundrie's mental health issues. When I asked, "You mean like hearing voices?" and he said yes, I informed him that that piece of information is coming from one of Gabby's female friends.

Could it be accurate? Sure.

Could it be that Gabby told her that because it was true?

Could it be that Gabby told her that because she was angry with Brian? Sure.

Could it be the friend trying to inappropriately insert herself into the case? Sure.

Yeah, so there you go. Hearsay doesn't make the investigation. Evidence does.
