What would stop the president from spending private gofundme money raised to fund the wall?
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

I won't like it but i'd be very surprised if the next Democratic president doesn't do this and similar things.

They've never done it before so why wouldn't you be surprised?

You mean the measly $20 million that was returned?

Why wouldn’t you like it? You seem just fine with the idea that the President can make an end around Congress by declaring an emergency if the Congress won’t give him what he wants.

Certainly the Democrats will follow if Trump sets the precedent. They’d be fools not to, right?

The Constitution. Can you quote the part of the Constitution that would give the president to build a wall absent Congressional authorization?

Just don't tell us the wall is too expesnsive. We'd put our money down for it right now because we know the true cost of illegal immigration. Expense is not the issue.

It must be too expensive. The best that could be raised from about 60 million potential Trump voters was 20 million dollars. That’s not even 35 cents from each of you.

Then do it dumbass. If every Trump voter donates just $82, you can get your wall.

But in reality the measly $20 million you raised shows that your tiny group of bigots is much, much smaller than you imagined.

Can you explain how giving 20 million dollars to a grifter is proof of concept for funding a project that will cost 10's of billions of dollars in construction and maintenance?

Looks like Trump is going through with trying to force his way into the Capitol for a State of the Union address despite that being illegal in an authoritarian PR move.
