I don't believe ajax is a doctor. Or he doesn't really believe the things he posts here. Those two thing can't be true at the same time, unless it's incredibly easy to become a doctor.

So what explains the comment? Ajax wanted to get attention and piss people off. 70% of the Trump supporters I personally know are quite obviously only motivated to piss off people they don't like. That's what Ajax is doing, this isn't some "commitment to the cause" thing.

I think there's an unconscious element to his posting that could be described this way, but I honestly don't think that's his primary motivation. I think he's as dumb as his posting suggests he is.

At this point, I suspect the vast majority of people who still support Trump do it because they can't admit they screwed up when they fell in with an obvious screwup. It's an ego/asshole thing. What kind of a brain-dead person does one need to be to miss Trump's numerous handicaps?

We have precedent on ‘enduring’ a difficult press with Obama vs. the self-claimed most-watched cable news station, Fox - and the entirety of the Republican/conservative politosphere of that day.

You’re ignoring the huge payoff that Trump is ‘enduring’ a few years for. He will leverage his present position for financial gain down the road, both with products and property. His family is doing that now. His resorts have been given over 130 million taxpayer dollars just to accommodate Trump’s own entourage when he golfs - as he has done so more than any other President, illustrating a low effort on his part in fulfilling his present job duties. And he gets to feed his combative nature and desire to be divisive from the highest and most protected pulpit in the land ... and all this happens as he claims immunity to prosecution from anything he decides to do.

Maybe the most interesting thing about all of this is that while Trump is conning his followers into believing that he is ‘enduring’ anything for them, he’s also laughing in their face as his family sells and profits from millions of dollars in foreign-made merchandise churned out of China, Mexico, and other Asian and South American locations. And all that he had to do to escape scrutiny of this obvious hypocrisy was to spend his Base’s tax dollars on a few hundred miles of an incomplete border wall. There’s really nothing else that he has done for their health and welfare.

It’s as if the Base is happy to be openly shafted by a con man, as they sacrifice their children to his excesses and the exploding national debt that he rubs in their faces.

Ajax, when defending Trump encouraging people to take unproven drugs with potentially dangerous side effects, didn't appear to take into account the possibility that COVID's tendency to cause heart complications might create a more significant countraindication not present when it treats malaria. That's Ok, though. It's not like he has an advanced medical degree or anything.
